Wedding Programs

We have been seeing a trend of the tradition of wedding programs dying. Wedding programs are used to list the order of events of the wedding ceremony and list the people involved (i.e. bridal party, parents etc). I feel like this trend is fading away because ceremonies are getting shorter and less traditional. Also with the trend of green wedding eliminating this extra paper is a win. We would suggest having wedding programs for more traditional ceremonies like church weddings or anything that requires guest participation - you can print right in the program what they need to say in response.

You can definitely still do wedding programs for any length of ceremony if you wish - some couples like to add reception details and directions or thank you notes on the programs. We as your South Florida Day of Wedding Planner will get those programs from you and make sure they get to the designated person who will be handing them out to your guests. We also make sure to keep a couple for your scrapbooks!

What exactly should be included in your wedding program?

- Order of Events (Prelude, Processional, Message, Exchange of Vows, Unity Ceremony, etc)

- Names of Participants Involved with titles (i.e. Best Man, Officiant)

- Thank you notes (thanking all your guests for being here - traveling near and far, etc.)

- Address and time of cocktail hour/reception (helpful to guests who forgot the invite)

Wedding Programs don't have to be just a folded piece of paper either. There are many fun ideas to incorporate. See a few below:

1. Fans

A super nice guest amenity - dual purpose - shade and wind to keep your guests cooled down for an outdoor ceremony

2. Big Frame

A way to keep the green in your wedding by not having all the paper - have a big program at the entrance to your ceremony for people to look at as they arrive and wait for the processional to begin

3. Water Bottles

Another dual purpose - some weddings have a water station as your guests arrive but this idea which can be made by you and set out by your Palm Beach Day of Wedding Planner is a cute idea and great amenity especially in the aftermath of the Pandemic - it is more sanitary

4. Snacks

Who doesn't love a snack. Check out these cute snack program bags. Work with your venue or caterer to provide some fun snack or see if they will allow you to fill the bags yourself. We as your South Florida Day of Planner can fill those for you on the day of.

Whatever you decide to do we are there for you and can make your dreams come true!
