Party Favor Alternatives

I am finding that there is a shift in the tradition of having party/guest favors at weddings. It is a nice gesture to have a little thing - but guess what? Most of the time, a majority of the favors are left behind. I know this because I'm the one gathering them all up at the end of night to give back to you. Usually at $1-2 per guest for favor, that's an additional $100 ++ you are spending. Some couples totally forgo the favors, while other use that extra money to upgrade a dessert or beverage item.

One of our favorite trends is to give the $100 to charity. It's nice to make a sign that say "In lieu of party favors, a donation has been made in your name to ___________." You can pick the charity that is closest to your heart. This is a great way to make a difference and your guests won't miss adding another bottle cap opener to their collection!

That's what Jeannie and Eric did.
